One of two races of the Riders Cup took place at the very well known, famous and beautiful track of Indianapolis.
On Monday morning we left home and about 3 o’clock that afternoon we got to Munich, where we spent a night in super luxury hotel with Sturla Fagerhaug and Matt Hoyle. Next day, early morning we flew to Chicago and from Chicago we drove about 300 km by car to Indianapolis where the track was.
On Wednesday our day was little bit free and we went to drive the go-karts where we met some of the american boys. When we came back to hotel I went to bed and I was not able to move more than one hour because my back was very painfull.
In the evening we went with boys to make some shopping. Next day we went to the race track to get more familiar with it.
On Friday there was a free practice and two qualifications. In the first free practice I managed 10th place. In the first qualification I did better and I was 3rd behind Mat Scholtz and Hayden Gillin.
In the second qualification I dropped to 9th because on every lap there was some slower rider in front of me and I was not able to ride the fast line. I was losing only 0.9 seconds to the first position.
On Saturday there was only a free practice because the American Rookies Cup race took place.
On Sunday there was our race and I started the race from the 9th position on the grid. My start was bad and in the first curve I was about the 12th.
In the finish of the fisrt lap I was already up to 10th. In next lap I got to 7th. At the end I finished the race at great 4th position when Leandro Mercado and Hayden Gillin fell down and I overtook this year's Cup winner JD Beach and second rider from this year Luis Salom.
Next race is coming on October 25th in Valencia, Spain.
